The popular summer ferry connection between Gryllefjord and Andenes started on May 16 and there will be daily departures throughout the summer season. The season is extended by three weeks, and will operate until September 25 2024.

Time Tables

The ferry has two departures daily in the low season from May 16 through June 13 and from August 26 through September 25. In the high season, the ferry has three departures daily from June 14 through August 25. Route information can be found in the Svipper app or in our travel planner.

Still AutoPASS for all Norwegian vehicles

In 2024, it will still be possible to pay for vehicles registered in Norway using AutoPASS for ferry. This also applies for international vehicles that already have an AutoPASS agreement.

New rules for payment on ferries for international vehicles apply from 1 July 2022. If your vehicle is registered outside Norway and you don’t already have an AutoPASS agreement, you should create a FerryPay account.

Popular ferry

The Gryllefjord-Andenes ferry route has become a popular with locals, visitors and tourists alike. That means it’s wise to allow plenty of time and arrive early when you are going to travel. Unfortunately, it’s not possible to pre-book a place on board the ferry.

Free for pedestrians and cyclists

Ferry tickets are only required for vehicles. People travelling on foot or by bike travel free of charge.
