Pay by bankcard on board
You can pay by card on all buses in Tromsø, Harstad and Sør-Troms, as well as on regional and local buses.
We are currently installing new card readers in Nord-Troms and Midt-Troms, so that all our buses will eventually offer card payment on board.
End of cash payments
From 1 February 2026, it is no longer possible to pay with cash on board our buses and express boats.
We recommend purchasing tickets in advance in the Svipper app, or paying by card on board the bus.

End of on-board sales on express boats
From 1 February 2026, a seat guarantee will apply on express boats throughout Troms county. In practice, this means that you buy a ticket in advance for a specific departure and are guaranteed a seat on board. Read more about seat guarantee here.
Requisition/voucher
Only travel agencies and agents approved in advance may use requisitions or vouchers as a means of payment on our buses. Vouchers with an overseas invoice address are not accepted.
