Date confirmed for summer ferry

The summer ferry connection between Gryllefjord and Andenes is extremely popular. Last year’s season was extended by three weeks. The dates for this year’s season have now been confirmed.

Summer ferry starts on 16 May

The popular summer ferry connection between Gryllefjord and Andenes starts on May 16. There will be daily departures throughout the summer season, which will last until 23 September 2025.

Timetables

The ferry connection has two departures daily during the shoulder seasons. This applies from 16 May to 12 June and from 18 August to 23 September. In the peak season from 13 June to 17 August, the ferry has three departures daily.

Still AutoPASS for all Norwegian vehicles

n 2025, it will still be possible to pay for vehicles registered in Norway using AutoPASS for ferry. This also applies for international vehicles that already have an AutoPASS agreement.

New rules for payment on ferries for international vehicles apply from July 1, 2022. If your vehicle is registered outside Norway and you don’t already have an AutoPASS agreement, you need to create a FerryPay account.

Popular ferry

The Gryllefjord-Andenes ferry route is popular with locals, visitors and tourists alike. Unfortunately, it’s not possible to pre-book a place on board the ferry. If you are planning to take the ferry, it’s wise to allow plenty of time and arrive early.

Free for pedestrians and cyclists

Ferry tickets are only required for vehicles. People travelling on foot or by bike travel free of charge.
