Easier to travel by ferry🌟
From 1 July, our real-time map will show the expected space available on all ferry routes in Troms County. Live information showing how much space is left on the next departure will also be shown for selected ferry quays.
This will make it easier to plan your journey. The new solution will be useful regardless of whether you are commuting, on holiday or simply wanting to avoid the most popular departures.
NB: The information is provided for guidance only and errors may occur.
🟢 Expected space
The expected space on board is now shown for every departure on all ferry routes. This information is based on past travel statistics and provides a good indication of how busy it usually is on the same departure over the past two years.
The prediction is shown as:
- Often plenty of space
- Often limited space
- Often full
👀 Live information
Live information is also available for ferry routes 180 Gryllefjord – Andenes and 181 Botnhamn – Brensholmen.
Cameras are used to register how many vehicles are waiting at the ferry quays in Brensholmen, Botnhamn, Gryllefjord and Andenes. This information is used to estimate the probability of getting space on the next departure.
The three car icons give you a quick overview of how busy the next departure is.
🟢 Plenty of space available
🟡 The departure is filling up
🔴 The departure is full or almost full
The percentage shows how much of the departure's vehicle capacity has already been taken up by vehicles waiting at the ferry terminal.
How to find the information
You can find the expected space onboard and live information from the ferry quays in the real-time map. You can either click the ferry quay you want information about on the map or go directly to your chosen route via the links below.
Privacy
You have the right to access and erase your rights under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). Troms County Council (Troms fylkeskommune) is the data controller for the processing of personal data.
The solution is not designed to identify individuals, and personal data is not stored together with names, vehicle registration numbers, or any other identifying information.
If you wish to request access to, erasure of, or restriction of the processing of your personal data, your request must include details such as the date, time, and location. This information is necessary to make it practically possible to locate the relevant data, provided it is still being retained.
