Pay by bankcard on board 

You can pay by bankcard on all buses in Harstad and South Troms, and on regional and district buses. We are working to install new validators on buses in Tromsø, North Troms and Central Troms, so card payments will be possible on these buses too..

End of cash payments

The County Executive Board has decided that as of 1 February it will no longer be possible to pay with cash on board our buses and express boats. However, we will accept cash on buses for a transitional period until 30 April 2026.

We always recommend buying tickets in the Svipper app. 

End of on-board sales on express boats

From 1 February 2026, a seat guarantee will apply on express boats throughout Troms county. In practice, this means that you buy a ticket in advance for a specific departure and are guaranteed a seat on board. Read more about seat guarantee here. 

Requisition/voucher

Only travel agencies and agents approved in advance may use requisitions or vouchers as a means of payment on our buses. Vouchers with an overseas invoice address are not accepted.
