You will find settings for the Svipper app and your user profile here.

• Information related to your profile, customer number, payment options and ticket history
• Settings for appearance in the app, choice of start page and language
• Edit your favourite locations and favourite departures

Buy tickets

Use the Svipper app to buy tickets for bus and express boat journeys in Troms. You can choose the start time of the ticket.

Tickets for travel by bus and express boat:

• Single ticket
• 24-hour ticket
• 7, 30 and 90-day ticket
• Youth TOTAL

Payment

Pay by Vipps or payment card

Travel search

Get an overview of your entire journey from where you are to where you are going.

• Search from address to address, use My position, select a location on the map or one of your favourite locations
• Use the filter to decide which means of transport you want to use or opt out of
• Tap details to see the entire journey from start to finish
• Tap the map to see the entire journey on a map
• If you choose Buy ticket at the bottom of the travel suggestion, a single ticket based on the travel suggestion will be ready for payment.

Add favourite locations

Saving your favourite locations will make it even easier to do travel searches in the app.

• Tap Save a favourite location
• Search for a location you often travel to or from
• Choose a name and possibly an icon for the location to make it easier to distinguish between your favourite locations.

Do you want to edit or delete your favourite locations?

• Go to My profile
• Scroll down to Favourites and tap Locations
• Tap the pencil icon to edit each favourite location

Add favourite departures

If you frequently travel from the same stop and on the same bus or express boat route, you can save this as a favourite departure. As your favourite departures are visible on the stage page of the app, you can quickly see when the next departure is.

• Tap Add a favourite departure
• Search for the stop you travel from most frequently
• Tap the star to make the departure a favourite
• Go back to the start page (travel search) and tap Select favourite departures to decide which departures will be visible on the start page.

Do you want to delete a favourite departure?

• Tap Select favourite departures
• Tap Edit favourite departures
• Tap the recycle bin icon beside the departure you wish to delete

See departures in real time

Get an overview of the next departures from a stop or quay in real time.

• Go to Departures
• Use My position or search for locations to find a stop nearby
• Select Stops to see departures
• Select the bus route to see more details, including a map showing the last stop the bus passed in real time.

See where the bus is in real time

Follow the location of the bus on a real time map on the Svipper app.

How to see the bus on the real time map:

• Select a departure or details on a travel search
• Tap the Follow bus button under the route number to open the map
• Follow the location of the bus white it’s driving
• The bus route on the map will then be green for the section of the route or from the stop you have selected. The rest of the route will be grey.

The button is only called Follow bus when the bus has left the first stop. The real time function is then active. If the bus has not left the first stop, the button will be called View map and only show the route.

Buy tickets for others

How to buy a ticket for someone else in the Svipper app:

• The person you are buying the ticket for must be logged in to the Svipper app get the ticket.
• Select the ticket you want to buy
• Tap Choose traveller
• Select the correct ticket category for the person you are buying the ticket for
• Select Buy for someone else at the bottom of the page
• Confirm your choice and tap Next
• Enter the phone number of the person you want to send the ticket to and continue To payment

The purchase will then be completed and, after your payment has been processed, you can check under Tickets sent to others to see the status.

Ask the recipient to open the Svipper app, go to Tickets and check if the new ticket has been received and is ready for use.

Filtering travel search

After performing a travel search in the app, you can filter your options by clicking the "Filter" button.

Within the filter options, you can:

• Exclude specific modes of transport from your search.
• Choose between slow, normal, or fast walking speeds.
• Set your preferred time between transfers.
• At the bottom of the filter menu, you can save your selections to customize future travel searches according to your preferences.

 Bicycles

It is not currently possible to buy bicycle tickets in the Svipper app. Bus passengers must buy a child’s ticket in addition to their own ticket. Express boat passengers must pay for the bicycle on board.

Tickets to Vengsøy - Musvær, Risøy og Mjølvik

It is not currently possible to buy ferry tickets for Vengsøy - Musvær, Risøy and Mjølvik and adjacent islands in the Svipper app. You can buy tickets in the Entur app or on board the ferry. Click here to read more about buying tickets in the Entur app.

Transfer a ticket to another phone

You can transfer your ticket to a new phone by following these steps:

1. Download the Svipper app on your new phone.
2. Log in to your account.
3. Navigate to "My Profile."
4. Under "Settings," select "Use ticket on phone."
5. Tap "Change."
6. Choose the new device where you want to use the ticket.
7. Press "Save."

Please note, you can only switch devices up to three times per month.
